Jr. Piano – Anita Perry
Anita (A.D.) Perry is proud to call the Okanagan her home. She has written works for orchestra, concert band, piano, voice and choir as well as seven children’s musicals and five ballets. In 2011 she was honoured with the Summerland Arts Appreciation Award and in 2014 and 2017 won the CFMTA Call for Compositions for her piano work “Skeleton Dance” and her choral work “Go Canada Go”. Perry is a member of the Canadian League of Composers, an affiliate of the Canadian Music Centre, a member of the Society for Composers and Authors, a Registered Music Teacher and a Certified Advanced Music Teacher with the Royal Conservatory of Music. Perry has adjudicated both piano and composition competitions and festivals throughout BC. On top of her compositional and educational activities, she also serves as Provincial Secretary for the BC Registered Music Teachers’ Association and National Secretary for the Canadian Federation of Music Teacher Associations. She currently teaches piano, composition and theory in Summerland, B.C.
