Please read the general rules as well as the discipline rules before entering. It is the responsibility of Teachers, participants, and parents to read and comply with all the rules so that infractions do not occur and result in disqualifications.
- The Shuswap Music Festival is held annually during the last three weeks of April
- The festival is open to amateur musicians living in the Southern Interior, geographical area defined as east of Hope to the Alberta border and South of Cache Creek. Participants from outside the geographical area described above will be accepted as non-competitive and will receive a written and oral adjudication only. No marks or placement.
- Registration opens December 1, 2024, and closes January 31, 2025
- Registration and payment of fees are handled online
- A syllabus for each discipline is posted
To make registration easier, be prepared with:
- Name of participant, telephone number, address and email address
- Birthdate and/or age of participants
- Name of teacher, email address
- Details of entries: Titles, Composers, Timings (duration of pieces)
- Additional competitors’ information for Duet/Trios/Quartets and Groups
- Year of RCM or CC syllabus from which pieces are taken
Please note on the bottom of the registration form if a student is entered in multiple disciplines to avoid conflicts when scheduling.
