“Thank you so much for this opportunity.  I am so grateful to have been awarded the Intermediate Musical Theatre Vocal Award!  It is such and honour to have been chosen.  This is my third time performing Voice in the SMF, but my first time to have won an award, and so it was very exciting for me.  I am so glad to have a music festival in the same town I live in.  I love  music and singing and it makes me so happy to share and improve my talent while also meeting new people and learning new things.  The Night of Stars is one of my favourite events of the year as I get to experience so much amazing local musical talent, and performing in it this year was very exciting and fun!  Thank you so much for making all of this possible.  I appreciate your generous donation so much, and the experience of festival this year was so wonderful that I hope to return again next year. My most sincere thanks.”
– Carly Pullin, Intermediate Musical Theatre Vocal Award

“I am extremely honored to be receiving the Mary Fowler Memorial Scholarship.  I am so grateful to all the donors for granting me this scholarship, as I will be able to use it to achieve my future academic, musical and life goals.  I will be attending university in the fall, where I will be entering a science program and taking part in extracurricular music groups.  This scholarship will directly aid me in attending those courses and clubs.  Being Mary’s grandson makes this award all the more important to me.  My grandmother was very involved in the community music scene, and my music endeavours as well.  She would have been so delighted and proud of me for this achievement. Thank you so much.”

“Here are five details about the music festival that stood out the most:

We had a blast!  It was super exciting through the entire experience.
We enjoyed building confidence together as the awaited day approached.
The support we received from family, friends and our teacher gave us courage and helped us settle the butterflies doing a ballet in our stomachs.
It was extremely pleasurable to be able to listen to the creativity that each performance presented to the audience through the pieces.  (AKA we enjoyed the music of others)
It was a marvellous learning opportunity granted to us through hard work and constructive criticism from the adjudicators.

Thank you SOOOO much for you’re belief in our talent and you’re incredible sponsorship that made this occasion possible for everyone.”
– Grace Neudorf/Ali Balloun, Senior Piano Duet
